Murphy’s Law continues their ascent, unleashing two dancefloor weapons on Joseph Capriati’s Metamorfosi Records in their latest EP, Back 2 Back.
UK duo Murphy’s Law have brought their slick and versatile sound to Metamorfosi Records with Back 2 Back, a groove-heavy two-track EP. The release on Joseph Capriati‘s powerhouse imprint marks a new chapter in their evolving sound at a crucial moment in their rise.
Years of honing their craft and a reputation for energy-packed performances have helped define Murphy’s Law’s place in the house and tech house scene. The Leicester-born brothers, Sonny and Finn Murphy, have delivered standout releases on labels like Hot Creations, PIV, and Three Six Zero, gaining support from some of the biggest names in the game. Now, they’ve brought an EP built for peak-time moments to a label fresh off its high-profile launch with Capriati and Dennis Cruz’s collaboration, “No Sleep.”
“Back To Back” leads the EP of its namesake with a low-end grit and rhythm-packed groove that pays homage to the sound that has brought them to recognition while showcasing a fresh and elevated style. The title track sounds like it’s built to hit hard through quality sound systems, and the following track allows no room for a dip in energy. “Surrender (To Your Love)” featuring Eljé blends smooth, warm vocals and emotion with tight percussion and a rolling flow. Both sides of the EP have a distinct tone from the other while connecting in the ways that matter.
The EP comes amid an exciting summer for Murphy’s Law. It includes performances at Hï Ibiza, where they played during Capriati’s Metamorfosi residency on August 1, and an upcoming return for the season closing party on October 3.
Murphy’s Law have made consistent strides since growing their audience and playing around the globe. Now, solidifying their presence in Ibiza’s club circuit amongst superstar names and releasing their latest sound on Metamorfosi, the duo show no signs of slowing down.
